Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking at a 996 TTS and have received the attached report. Can anyone help on whether these numbers should be concerning?

POST 2Original post

What is that, like 32 seconds range 1 and almost no range 2 on a very low hour engine...if I'm reading it right.

POST 3Original post

Range 1 is only redline. For example when you run into the rev limiter upshifting too late. These are no problem at all Rang 2 count is so low and that many hours ago I would not bother. I even dare to state that readings of 1 or 2 even 4 are a bogus reading when I see so few of them. My tiptronic has 1 range 2 ignition. And I am able to more or less pinpoint exactly when it was recorded. No overrrev situation at that time. So in your case it could be that there was recorded 1 range 2 ignition the last time. Or 2 or 3 or 4. Hard to tell from the report.

POST 4Original post

Yea, this data tells me that this engine has been well taken care of, almost suspiciously. I'd expect the car to have low miles in the 20-30k range.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 14664304

yes, car has 30k miles

POST 7Original post

The small number of range 2 ignitions happened a long time ago. Nothing there that would make me anxious.
