I will do my best there, I have a local shop where I do my amateur work that does have a smoke machine and likely also a way to check the fuel pump pressure.

Hello gents, A bit new to this world, but I like to work and solve problems on cars, despite lack of knowledge, I like to learn. I have a 99 C2 , which I�ve been slowly working on and replacing major maintenance items. I�m having an air fuel mix issue somehow. I thought it was the MAF so I bought a new one. Here is the issue. with brand new maf connected, car idled very mildly rough, but when I push, it will lose power between 5-6k rpm in second , third and 4th Gear (I would imagine 5th and 6th) then recover from 6-7k rpm. I get error codes p1124, p1126, p1128 With maf disconnected, car idled mildly rough but no loss of power at high rpms, i get error codes of just maf. new spark plugs , new coils, new air filter. Thoughts on how to diagnose this?

With a new MAF sensor, the DME is using old fuel trim values. Reset the DME by disconnecting the negative lead on the battery for 10 minutes. Then connect up and go for a relaxed drive so the DME can reset it's fuel trim values.

Although this will require a bit of reading/training on my part, it makes sense that it would be the logical first step. As a preventative/hopeful measure, I will change the fuel filter (its a 99) therefore has an external filter and hope for improvement.

I was going to suggest a fuel filter, seems it is next on your list. The symptoms are classic loss of flow at high RPM due to restricted fuel flow, and fuel trim issues. If problem persists after replacement of filter check fuel trims with Durametric.
