Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Does anyone know if 10 inch front wheels, and 11 inch rear wheels all with 50 mm off set will work on a non wide body 996?

Someone local has them for sale, but they were on a wide body so I wanted to make sure a 10 inch wheel, with that off set would work.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know if 10 inch front wheels, and 11 inch rear wheels all with 50 mm off set will work on a non wide body 996? Does anyone have pictures of this exact combo? Thanks for the help!!!

POST 2Original post

Better than answer, how bout a resource to help answer any wheel fitment questions? Simply go to willtheyfit.com, plug in the factory wheel size and then the wheel size in question and bingo it will give the resulting differences in virtually every measurement you can think of.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's not helping much... so it's closer to the strut 45.8mm , and sticks out farther 55.8mm on the outside. i was hoping someone has actually had experience with that size wheel on their car, and might even have a picture.

POST 4Original post

I'm sure someone with a similar set up can give you some insight, but the info you obtained is more valuable imho. You can take that info to your garage and know exactly how the new set up will work (or not). Even if someone has a similar set up, they may not have the same suspension, and even if they do, the health and well-being of their's vs your's may differ. Deviating from an oem spec is a lot of trial and error -- even if you do the math, some unforeseen issue may arise. Ask me how i know.

Rear fits no problem, Fronts will also depend on if it is a stock strut or coilover system. Coilovers will limit the space inboard that you can go, vs the stock strut that allows for some extra space.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the replies. The front suspension is stock. Someone local has them for sale, but they were on a wide body so I wanted to make sure a 10 inch wheel, with that off set would work.

As far as I can tell the front fitment from wb and nb is the same. I have an aggressive offset for 9.5 front and 12 rear with no real issues.

POST 9Original post

I have 18" Porsche Sport Techno wheels on a narrow body and no issues. Front is 8x18, 50mm offset with 225/40 tires and rear is 11x18, 63mm offset with 295/30 tires, so rr is 13mm more outward than what you're asking about. Yours sound like Turbo wheels. You can fix the offset issue by putting on a spacer in the back to bring the wheel out another 13mm.
