I was wondering when one was to replace stock mufflers with a valve exhaust like DesignTek,, instead of the very expensive original PSE replacement, how can the difference be noticed during technical inspection?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was wondering when one was to replace stock mufflers with a valve exhaust like DesignTek,, instead of the very expensive original PSE replacement, how can the difference be noticed during technical inspection? Here in Belgium we would require the "EEC Approval certificate", which the DesignTek doesn't have. But I wonder if the original PSE exhaust has a number engraved on the exhaust at all?

POST 2Original post

Check Carnewal... Gert is always helpful if you've got questions http://www.carnewal.com/Exhaust#P96

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess Gert might be able to help, but I assume (looking at his site) he only sells the genuine PSE, which is expensive. The GT would be great, but my wife wants the valve exhaust. Maybe he can help indeed.
