Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

A few judiciously-placed dots of superglue should keep the switch in place - cheaper and easier than replacing the whole panel.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, I did some research in here and don't see a fix. The back of the sunroof button no longer stays in place. "sinks" into the roof. So, no one touch feature, have to keep finger on it but overall works fine. Same with the vent feature. Is there a clip that broke or some other piece that holds the button in place? Thanks, in advance, for any help.

POST 2Original post

It's probably the switch. You'll need to dive into it to know for sure though. This article should help out. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...DY-Sunroof.htm

POST 3Original post

The clips that hold the switch are fragile, mine broke too. A few judiciously-placed dots of superglue should keep the switch in place - cheaper and easier than replacing the whole panel.

POST 4Original post

I have the same issue. Superglue only works for a small period. I'm thinking about taking the panel apart and adding a metal retainer.

POST 5Original post

Scott, Jimmyb is right. The clips on mine were broken when I bought the car last fall. I used a couple of strategic drops of epoxy and the switch has remained in place ever since. It's pretty easy to get that overhead console thingy off to have access to the back of the switch. Several DIY's on how to remove it. If you don't get it done before your next event at LCMT I will show you how.
