This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all, 01, Carrera Cab, 34k miles, bone stock. Recently serviced for its 30k service. I have a recent, event. When i accelerate at speed, say 15 to 60 quickly, The chime noise for my seatbelt goes off. It only goes of once or twice, not continuous, and its fairly annoying. I'm not sure what it could be, tried the obvious things (like unbuckling the belt) or buckling the passenger seat. No lights or codes on the dash or the radio display... any ideas? Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

If you are sure it is the seat belt alarm, then it is probably the latch going bad. I've seen others report needing to replace it (the part attached to the trans tunnel that the buckle goes into). Though it could be that it's plug is loose and just needs to be reseated I suppose. If you are just guessing that it's the seat belt chime and have the OBC option it could actually be the speed alarm you are hearing. There is a setting in the OBC options that will chime when you hit the set speed. That will be a single chime if I remember correctly.

POST 3Original post

Like gnat said, likely to be the OBC speed chime

POST 4Original post

Yeah, maybe someone at the recent service played with your limit warnings so now when you go over X speed you get the warning chime.

POST 5Original post

My speed alarm keeps going off, even when I set it to increasingly high numbers. Must be something wrong with the car
