Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'rear offset' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'rear offset' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fender shrub' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
ET45 for 19x8.5 could work, but I'd advise you to check for fender shrub.

A nice and easy way to test the clearance is to compress the suspension at each corner using a driveway saddle.

I'm being extra careful with my words, but by chance, would AG do a 19x10 with a 60mm offset using the same tires?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Got new wheels today, but i think they are the wrong rear offset. 99 c2 NB. 19x11 285/30/19 with what looks to be 52 offset? Looks like the will rub on the fender lip, with all kinds of room on the inside.
Yea, IMHO they're beyond the threshold. I'm assuming this is a narrow body, right? Although 19x11" will work, your offset should have been closer to 60mm. OEM is 18x10 ET65 for the rear.
You're not using any spacers are you?
Can you take more pictures? Let's see the front.
I agree with B3FREAK. Looks like the offset is incorrect.
The wide-body offsets (C4S/Turbo) on the 18x11 hollow spoke Turbos are ET45 and they certainly don't clear on the NB 996.
Wow, that's looks over the threshold too for 19". What is the offset for the front? And, whats the brand???
Looks like you may have some scrubbing in the fender well.
Not ideal but remember the C2 Aero the had 15mm spacers and looked awesome? I'm not sure if that would have worked with 285 tires though.
If you want to keep this setup, you can add some negative camber (or decrease camber, however you want to say it) and/or roll the fenders. It should work out alright for you.
Yep, that's the risk. Most companies I've called (e.g. BBS) don't recommend 19" wheels for the 996 Narrow body, but companies make them and many have used them and have no problems. I think the issue is the rear offset. Looks like AG claims they'll work since "NB" is on the invoice.
Have you rolled the car since you mounted the wheels?
That can help the camber settle in a little bit.
A nice and easy way to test the clearance is to compress the suspension at each corner using a driveway saddle.
I'm being extra careful with my words, but by chance, would AG do a 19x10 with a 60mm offset using the same tires? That would seem to be a safer option and still give you an aggressive look. IMHO.
Look at the second picture I posted.
The car is positioned on the transition from the street to my driveway at an angle.
The left/driver's side rear is compressed because of the positioning.
Wheels are wrong. Offset should be 60 at least.
If you love the look and don't want to return it, you can increase the camber or get narrower tires. Welcome to the hella flush club.
Considering you drove around on the street, the setup now belongs to you, no matter what.
As has been said, increased negative camber in the rear can help with clearance and you can always rock the wooden dowel fender roll.
