Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a weird problem... the passenger side of my windshield gasket keeps coming off at higher speeds... pretty much anything over highway speeds. Then it flaps around in the wind until I pull over and put it back in. Is there some sort of a sealant or glue that I should use to hold it in place?

POST 2Original post

I'm interested as well, mine is loose. But does not flap (yet).

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I bought some windshield urethene off ebay... going to just put a small bead of it on the bad side and see how it holds. I'll chime back in with results in a week or two.

POST 4Original post

I've had very good success with 3M Plastic and Emblem glue. Had a loose rear window seal years ago and it is still holding tight.

POST 5Original post

Have a similar issue with my rear window. In strong cross winds it pulls out one side of the seal and it flaps against the car. Tempted to use contact cement to keep it in place...
