Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

way too big a diameter for the 996. leave the 20s for the 997 dude. look like wagon wheels
and then on top of that you running only 10s in the back like bicycle tires on a 911.
you obviously didn't do your research
The wheels are a nice design, but installing 20" wheels gives the final result a "Cadillac Escalade" look for this Porsche.....and that's not a good thing. They're way too big.
Holy Chrysler 300!
I generally don't like to **** on someones parade BUT man that just looks wrong on the 996
However, as you like them, thats all that matters, enjoy!
Totally agreed. RH's make some great looking wheels including our Norwegian friend here.
Care to post pics of your country's scenery including our the ladies of Norway?
I like the style and look of the wheels but 20s are way to big IMO. I dont think there are any advantages but there are disadvantages i.e. ride quality and possible suspension issues.
I guess for some its all about the bling.
Well - for the people who do not like it - I still have this:
https://rennlist.com/forums/wheel-and-tire-forum/388418-new-19-lemans-wheels-on-my-996-a.html
Maybe this is better?
It strikes me that this in dependend on the time/history ... For 10 years ago, 17" was to big.., for 3 years 18-19" was probably too big... see the logic ?
but I agree - maybe we have reached the top now - with 20" :-)
To Benjamin Choi; yes I have pics of Norwegian girls, but this forum is probably not the right one? :-)
LOL....because I knew a windfall of other would not like them. I personally have CCW 19's on my 996 and love them. I dont track the car (use my 951) so its more for show.
I see what you are saying, but keep in mind cars were designed (both looks and performance) for certain tire and wheel sizes. Part of the size increase in wheels over the last 20-30 year has been driven by looks while part is necessity. Cars and trucks have gained weight and brakes are much more capable. You can't even fit 16" wheels on a 996 due to brake clearance.
I'd agree that manufacturers tend to be a little conservative in their offerings, but remember the standard wheel size on the 996 is 17" with and 18" option. Your 20's are a full 2-3" over that!!
That huge jump just doesn't work (for me) for the following reasons.
- It looks funny (the car was designed with smaller wheels in mind and everthing from the brakes to the wheel arches are in proportion to those smaller sizes)
- Gearing (change the overall wheel/tire diameter too much and you've just changed your gearing and not in a good way. You will accelerate more slowly)
- unsprung weight (any increase is bad. You are asking your springs, shocks, wheel bearings, etc all to control larger loads.)
- Ride (rolling on rubber band tires may look cool, but it may not feel cool)
Just my opinion
