Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Guys, I just purchased my first Porsche and I'm thrilled. I've always wanted one and found the perfect ride. After searching the internet and loosing out on several cars on e-bay, I found the perfect car here in Southern California. 1999 slate gray with 26k one owner miles for $28,900 and for an additional $1,250 purchased a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty from Carmax. If any problems arise I can take it to any Porsche dealer in North America. This week I added the 19" wheels w/Pilot Sport PS 2's, tinted the windows and purchased some bumper plugs & a B&M short shifter. Thumbs up to all of you guys on this forum. I appreciate all of the time you take to help each other. I can't believe the wealth of knowledge that most of you possess and how unselfish you are in sharing it with newbies like me. My hats off to you all and I look forward to helping out wherever I can................JP Porsche 1.jpg Porsche rear side 1.jpg 119_1934.jpg

Beautiful car! And a member already - I salute you

POST 3Original post

Nice car! Drop it! There's a shop in Hermosa Beach off PCH that does mods, alignments, etc. Status Motorsports

POST 4Original post

JP, I love the color and the wheels. Your car looks fantastic. Congratulations and welcome aboard. I miss Hermosa. I lived there right after college. The South Bay is still one of my favorite places.

When I was in Redondo I was very happy with Johnson Alignment in Torrance. They did a nice job fitting and aligning my M030 suspension.

POST 6Original post

Beautiful combo, Welcome and Congrats! In the spirit of Halloween dont forget to kill the pumpkins with some new smoked indicator lights!!

POST 7Original post

POST 14Original post

JP- That is a smokin deal, low miles, great shape and low price. Welcome to the club.Like the red accents.

POST 15Original post

Beautiful car...and it sounds like you got a sweet deal too! Best of luck and look forward to talking to you. As for me? I'm hiding out as I have managed to forget my camera to download pics yet another day...

POST 16Original post

Great newbie post. Nice car, and welcome. Get some clear side marker lights; they look great on slate. CP

POST 22Original post

JP...congrat's and welcome, car looks nice. Personally I am not liking the wheels, but it is probably because the car is not lowered so they look too big for the car...so now lower it and I bet it will look much better

Yeah, I've heard some good things with them and Westend Alignment in Torrance also.

Steven, like this? Oh, and I also harvested the pumpkins!

POST 25Original post

Great looking and car, love the color combo. Welcome to the board.

Yeah it looks better but I guess 19's without a body kit doesn't look right to me, again it could be the wheels too as they just don't work for me at all. Maybe if they were 18's and not all black or without the red ring, or 19's and all black without the red ring, I don't know JP, now you can see what your car would look like with it lowered

POST 27Original post

I like the wheels, are they from the HotWheels collection? You might also want to look into replacing the orange front blinkers to clear and the peice next to then to smoked.

POST 28Original post

Looks great! I like "the look". Aggresive colors - looks mean. I would suggest getting rid of the orange blinkers, as has been said already, but it looks sweet anyway. Congrats on your new car.

POST 30Original post

Car looks great, congrats! Enjoy and welcome aboard.

POST 31Original post

Welcome aboard - that sounds like a great price on the warranty. I love the wheels!

POST 33Original post

welcome...love your rims!! Don't want to put a damper on your warranty high! I know all about the cheaper extended warranties..and when something is to good to be true...mostly it is....so I did a web search for carmax...and guess what the second website that comes up is...after carmax warranty ofcourse......>>>> http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/...off0223373.htm I bought a warranty for 2000 and after 6 months the exotic car company ltd. was no longer in operation, the State of Florida had closed it...i am still waiting for my money back.... Then again.. have been driving my P for over 2 years and put about 20k in the 'clock' and still going strong (knock on wood). Did I tell you I LOVE YOUR RIMS!

POST 34Original post

Great Car, I would go with the nickle plated Porsche emblem on the hood ebay.com 170164039276 with the slate grey, and clear on the rear lights and side markers. I ordered the emblem yesterday (Seal grey). They have 13 left and there discontinued. Again, great car...

POST 35 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Hey Tim (gota 911) , an extra thanks to you for showing me what my car would look like with the clear side markers and being lowered. I'm now looking into both. Thanks again Boys.
