Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
You will be better off selling off some mods separately, and replacing some stuff back to stock.
Leading evidence: 'Replace some stuff back' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace some stuff back' (1 discussions). Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm thinking of selling my car and am curious what I might get for it. I need a year round driver that I can haul the kids in and I know that I won't get credit for any of the performance ugrades on a trade-in.

Thanks for your help.
It's worth about 2500 bucks....I'll pay you tomorrow in cash. All kidding aside...I think you might be able to get 35K for it. You will be better off selling off some mods separately, and replacing some stuff back to stock. Just my opinion though.

Hey Oscar, just out of curiosity, which car is faster, the 996 or the dedicated track car 964? At the track? In a straight line. Both cars look great (as does the red 964 on your rennlist page!)
I would guess you car in stock config. could bring +/-$30K...as is, probably worth a few grand more. Maybe $33K if you find the right buyer who is looking for most of your mods...which, are the right mods to have by the way.
You can sell it for $25K to $28K.
Just sold my P-car. It was immaculate but it was hard to move until I started to lower my price. There are so many 996's out there now it's hard to sell one if it's not fairly priced.
I sold my 2000 996 Tip back in July for $36k. There ARE buyers out there if your car is in truly excellent condition. There are a lot of 996's advertised as "excellent" but very few actually are. Good luck with your sale!
It's a tough call. 996 would probably win in a drag race but the 964 is setup so much better for the track. I was just pondering this same question last month when we were at The Grattan Gran Prix. The last time I was there was with the 996 which was 3 years ago and this year in the 964 I beat my previous best time by more than 5 seconds. Driving the 964 has made me a better driver in my 996 and vice versa.
thanks all for your feedback.
I'd leave the mods on to balance out the fact that you tracked the car, which would be minus for some buyers. I'm thinking of a 996 as a daily driver, and given two equal cars I'd pick the one that hadn't been tracked.
