Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm intermittently losing both my backup lights and the passenger side mirror tilt function. These are both controlled by a switch somewhere in the neighbourhood of the transmission, yes? And the fact that it's intermittent would point me in the direction of that switch? Advice welcome. I have it booked at the dealer, but I'd feel more in control of the situation if I had a solid hypothesis. Intermittent electrical problems are a license to print money... TIA.

Loren, I remembered something about this issue, but couldn't recall where I had seen the solution. You are the man!

POST 4Original post

Loren has the most amazing ability to come thru with just the right DIY or schematics in a timely manner. He's saved me a bunch of money over the last 1.5 years. Thanks Loren.

Yeah, Loren is solid! BTW, have you ever thought about how much money being a Rennlist Member has cost you so far? I mean, if you weren't on this forum, would you be aware of the various mods you have done to or could do to your car? I know, I know.... this is why you think I'm a ********!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's wonderful, thank you. Sounds like you're in agreement with my diagnosis. Sadly, I have neither the time nor the physical space to do the job myself, so off to the dealer I go... but, man, this is a priceless resource!

I wouldn't want to do anything to harm Loren's chances for sainthood.
