Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

......................the engine did NOT blow up. It also did not burst into flames, smoke like a crop duster, or leak oil all over the track....... Amazing huh? Suprising since the 996 is not a real porsche..... I just wanted to give all the 99 996 owners some assurances that our cars are not ticking time bombs...

POST 3Original post

I have many track miles on my 2000 C2 and its running fine.

POST 4Original post

Good to hear, sure you dont have a 3.6 in that '99 There is no way a 3.4 can take that abuse.

POST 7Original post

What track did you go to? I'm the Timing Director for the AROSC and we ran a time trial this weekend at Willow Springs. There were a couple of P-cars there...and none of them burst into flames.

POST 8Original post

I actually have mine flat-bedded to and from work. You can't be too careful with these things.

POST 9Original post

Thanks for sharing because I am also going to be tracking my '99 C2.

I ran in group 1 at the Willow event with your club.... Great event as always..... Ran way slower in my timed runs than my best time of the day... bummer but it did get warm in the afternoon.... First time ever at Willow with no wind... The photo guy at the track caught me coming out of turn 4....

Glad you had a good day at WS I've shot there before, but keep being chased off by the track photog who is very very protective of his domain. Any way, great track to drive and shoot - few samples below from same location:
