In addition to the supplied tape, I also used a few strategically placed screws just to ensure it stays secure.

I used A Screw on both wheel fenders, two screws underneath the middle and the applicator and tape that came with the lip.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well after almost zero communication, no tracking information or purchase confirmation my lip showed up 2 weeks later... at my house when it was supposed to be shipped to my office... Either way, stocked I got it and I love the way it looks. I dont think I will be painting it, as I want to eventually get black wheels on the car as well. Had to put the lip out in the sun for 4 hours to get it flexible enough to install with no issues.

POST 2Original post

Looks great! Did you install with bumper cover on the car or did you remove it to install? Does it use screws or just two sided tape?

POST 3Original post

installed mine a couple weeks ago. B3CCD70F-6CEB-4E13-BB15-02711C857BEB_zpspsa74lbr.jpg

POST 4Original post

Here's mine. I agree that GT3tek's communication is not the best, but the product is good. Leaving it out in the sun to warm up is advisable as it comes rolled up in a little box. In addition to the supplied tape, I also used a few strategically placed screws just to ensure it stays secure. Overall a very good, cost effective product.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I used A Screw on both wheel fenders, two screws underneath the middle and the applicator and tape that came with the lip. I sat on the ground and installed it myself (which was hard on a lowered car) and kept the bumper on. Really you could just roll up onto a couple 2x6's and install it if you need more clearance

POST 6Original post

Here's a pic of mine. I installed it about three years ago. It's holding up great so far. A very cost effective solution!

POST 7Original post

Nice looking add-on, they don't show any application for 02-04, only for 01 and older.

POST 8Original post

Sorry guys... it looks cheap and pep boys'ish to me.

Hey its my car not yours .... And the lip looks great painted like the yellow car.. I just want some contrast and with black wheels in my mind it will look great I'm not a fan of a lot of peoples mods on here (mostly wheels), but I try to keep my opinion silent.

Thanks for contributing. We couldn't have lived without your opinion.

POST 11Original post

I think it looks great, and thanks for posting your feedback on the quality. While I love the lips painted, my car is so low it scrapes quite a lot, and I'm afraid it would just look worse.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

@david 23.... I love your wheel/tire set up on your car! Everytime I see your avatar I just get jealous

Gotta take the good with the bad... most guys over in the 996tt section loathe mine with the passion of a thousand ****** because of what's been done to it. Eh... no biggie.

Thank you very much 18" HRE Wheels, no spacers.

POST 15Original post

Very fine beard on that horseless carriage, wear it with pride and dignity son! sincerely, Abe

POST 16Original post

Any feedback or experiences how this lip influences for good or worse the high speed aerodynamics?

POST 17Original post

Finally got a good pic of my GT3Tek front lip. It is as shipped black on a Midnight Blue car and looks great.

POST 18Original post

Sorry to revive this thread, but I am thinking about purchasing the lip as well, and was curious what you guys paid for it. Thanks in advance!

POST 19Original post

have mine for about 5 years now ,easy to repaint when i hit it

POST 20Original post

Well from the sounds of it, if I can get over gt3tek's lack of communication, sounds like a good product. I sent a message both private on this forum and on the website. Let's see how this goes.

POST 21Original post

Anyone purchase the whole kit, the front, sides and rear? I am thinking of upgrading the look on my MK1 Cab. Was worried about build quality but sounds to be pretty good.

POST 22Original post

I bought the GT3 side skirts and GT3 style front lip,but have yet to install them. I live in Ontario, so the car is still tucked away. The quality looks great. They even come with instructions on how to install. Everything I have read online is that they are a good choice. If you keep contacting them they will reply. I was usually successful by putting "please respond" in the title of the message.

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If I remember Correctly, I PM'd Tony I think his name was on here and he responded in 24 hours and I ordered it. Make sure to let the lip sit out in the sun for about 45 minutes before trying to install

POST 24Original post

does anyone have the sides or rear? i have been thinking about the whole kit

The passion of a thousand ****** is almost - but not quite - as tender as the love of a mother-in-law.

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 14031092

I installed the front piece about three years ago and it's holding up great. I bought the cab spoiler about a year ago, but haven't installed it yet. Supposedly it has the same profile as the OEM spoiler.

POST 27Original post

I'd like to know how these affect the lift/down force the the P engineers worked so hard to get right. Will the front lip cause the rear to lift?

POST 28Original post

POST 29Original post

I paid on Wednesday for the lip and asked for an ETA, still no response. Let's see how long it takes.

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

they never sent me a tracking # or responded when I ordered..... It just randomly showed up about 10 days later

POST 31Original post

Quotes source post: 14038943

That was my experience too. Poor (or no) communication, no tracking #, etc., but the product showed up in about 10 days.

POST 32Original post

Quotes source post: 14038801

The lip arrived today. So a week after I paid, not too bad. However look how it is packaged, I hope it did not damage the lip. For the others that bought this lip, is this how it was packaged and did it cause any install issues?

POST 33Original post

Take it out of the box and put it in the sun if you do not live in the colder regions. It will fix itself. Mine was like that and I just left it for a month in my basement and it is fine.

POST 34 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I put it in my garage and took my wife's hair dryer to it for about 30 minutes (and a couple beers), eventually it got close enough to it's shape that I installed it

POST 35Original post

I like it. +1 on leaving it in the sun to warm it up. I did the similar process on a 944T I had.

POST 37Original post

Is it true the polyurethane body parts fit better than fiberglass?

POST 38Original post

Just got my GT3 front lip and rockers installed this past week and I am liki ng them a lot.
