i had seen a 4 sale add for spacers saying that you could use your stock lug nuts on the wheels with the 7 mm spacers and i thought no way.

Would those work? Right now i have the extended models on but wondering about the stock? I would like to get them painted to match the wheel..

NO, they will not work! There will not be sufficient length to secure into the top hat at the correct depth. Would you even think of cutting 7mm off the stock lug nuts and use them without spacers?

I agree. Use the longer wheel bolts. You might be able to do 3mm, but certainly not 7mm, with the stock bolts.

if you put 7mm-15mm.... etc spacers you must add 7mm-15mm...etc from the length of stock lug nuts...

FYI....event the OEM 5mm kit comes with the required LONGER bolts.
