Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'none of us will be around' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'none of us will be around' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Run away' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Discussions that performed work without a confirmed outcome

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had to vote none of above because Dell will take one look at the poll and notice that if he added up all of the possible percentages, it adds up to more than 100%! Poof invalidity... lol
I could definitely see the Pic rampage, vicarious living is a beautiful thing! Once he grows immune to the pics, he will demand to sit in others porsches, then drive them...... He will be found asleep in a p car that he broke into on a local dealers lot..... But its ok, because the voices said to do it!
What about when Tim borrow's a friend's Porsche to drive at a DE and then roll's it over at the event
(of course Tim walks away un-injured but the car is a different story)
Man oh man, I'm running away with it! I'm so HAPPY!
Just wait 'til Dell pops in and tells us why this poll "don't mean ****, 'cuz it's statistically invalid." That will burst my bubble!
well, duh! You're all set to stop driving your car - how much more of an obvious an influence do you need before you admit that you're just like Phil? At least he pretends that he drives a Porsche.
Nah, it's not statistically correct unless you poll a member of a greater fraction of all the Rennlist members that know Tim, Phil and Dell.... 5 more members should do it.
WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL IS GOING ON THIS PLACE?????
.......a poll that totals over 125%?????
Time to get JohnD to hire a stats moderator
Somewhere out there Karl Pearson is rolling over in his grave
Problem is none of us will be around to see it! Tim, congrats on being in strong contention or the "most psychologically unstable" award. I'm a strong contender for the inaugural "Drivaporscheaphobia" award!
I actually posted that reply to Ray, becuse when he first posted the thread, THERE WAS NOT A POLL SET UP, hence my smartass comment. He later edited his post and added the poll.
Dell, I think Ray forgot to include the last two poll choices in the "total" count, causing the extra 25%. Hey, you're a professor so you should understand this.... maybe he was giving "extra credit" for completing the poll. I think this poll now has a 5.0 GPA.
Dell, when is your next class scheduled? It appears I may need a refresher course!
FWIW, I set up a 6 response poll. I have no idea what went wrong. I blame John D.
The high tech Rennlist poll system must be broken.
Somehow, the poll is setup with the limit/total of 125% and only John D would know why it is setup like that. Maybe a post over in the help forum or a PM to John???
Dell, I knew you would get a bigger kick out of that extra slice of pie in his poll more than I did, but even I did not expect such a large "blue hell".
I sure hope. The problem is that I had an inverse distribution of scores (lots of B's and a few A's and lots of D's and F's). That tells me that is THEIR fault. A skewed distribution would be my fault. When I explained to them the results they realized this is a serious thing if they actually care about their grade. I now have meetings set up with students to help study, I am going to type up a review sheet (wish I got that in school) and anything in between I can do to help them out. I HATE giving F's.
for option: Dell's newborn gets a drivers license and starts driving his dad's old Porsche GT3
if you remove the "gets drivers license" part, i think it's going to happen very soon!
dell, when i used to teach in college, i hated to give "F" too, instead, i tried to walk some extra miles with them to find out where the problem was. i told them my class is not rocekt sciense, and therefore everybody should at lease get a C or D
We're still working on that
Well, at least that could happen back when I got my start teaching as a grad student
True. He'll be driving well before he gets his license.
