Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

To tow it, I would use the the tie downs/straps on the trailer with soft straps going through the wheels therefore not springing the suspension.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's a PORSCHE, get some KDW's or other performance tire! ??? Why would you want to? For better MPG? Doubt it would be noticeable and personally I would not want to lug the engine doing that...

Welcome. To tow it, I would use the the tie downs/straps on the trailer with soft straps going through the wheels therefore not springing the suspension. The owners manual has useful information. How many years have you been reading about driving a 911? I takes a different skill set. Porsches ride like sports cars and that may not help you. I think I recently saw a promotion to buy 4 tires and receive a TV. The 996 has the same 911 feel (but better) as other 911 with sports suspension. I have gone through several sets Pirellis on 911s, most recently the zero nero bla bla bla. The Contis are nice and soft too. Be safe and have fun.

POST 4Original post

It will pull off in second with some revs and a touch more clutch slip but I agree with nosub - why on earth would you want to? Good way to shorten your clutch's life. Buy a tip if you don't like shifting. Bridgestones tend to have firmer sidewalls than most other makes - otherwise much of a muchness when it comes to ride quality. I think Michelin PS2s are the best combination of ride, noise, handling and longevity but they are the most expensive.

POST 5Original post

All 996s have an OCB, some need to be turned on by the dealer or someone w/a PTS2. Then you need to add a stalk or button to scroll through the screens. There's tons of info/opinion on tires if you do a search.
