Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am going to install clear bra on the hood. Need to remove the crest first. Please advise how to do remove it?

POST 2Original post

Secured from the inside via nuts - open hood and look at the location of the badge from the underside - It'll be obvious from then on in.

POST 3Original post

The nuts are quite interesting as they thread the stock of the "bolts"?? when you attach them. The speed nuts are rather small, its an 8mm and are easily removed!

POST 5Original post

jump, pop the hood open and look underneath, it will be quite obvious. BE VERY careful not dropping the nuts as you are taking them off...I dropped a nut (LOL) and it tooke me 1 1/2 hours to get it out using all sort of "magnetic" home made products. A biaaaatch! I can only imagine the rattles I would have gotten should I have not been able to get my nut out...

A plasma cutter also works!

POST 7Original post

When you put it back, dont use excessive torque. The studs could pull off from the emblem easily.

Plus it will squeeze the ruber seal between the crest and the hood and cause it to bulge out and no longer have an even rubber trim around the crest.
