The kit is about 2 years old now, and I must say that after having the B&C installed for approx.

Suggestion
I checked over on the Competition Forum and they seem to think that I might have problems with the Beth portion too, but all wished me good luck.

Suggestion
I kinda like the holes in my Boxster's discs, but I want to go with that "clean" look on the 996 and was thinking Bumperplugs in the drill holes would do the trick.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I want to get a clear bra for my wife...where do you get one up here in Canada...I wonder
With the Canadian dollar on par with the US buck...time to go shopping!!!
2 questions: First how would miracle whip affect your clear caliper bra if flung against it?
And second how would this affect the thermastat in high quenching heat without the third radiator or fan mod??????
raid,
as soon as i got home, i will post some int. clear bra pix.
i wanted to post last time around when we were on the topic, but didn't find time. now i really have to do it!
Hey, if you need a bus to race your Porsche, try this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=powVngJ-Ljc
And when you've watched the video, go see what's under the skin of the bus...

Yeah, and make sure to use the 6 mil version because the 4 mil version will yellow under the high heat of your brakes. Of course, if your not cool enough to be tracking your car every 4 to 6 hours, then don't worry about it, just use any old clear kind.

I can't believe no one has asked this yet.
Riad, did you beat the bus? Please tell me you did and please tell me that you didn't race in a residential neighborhood.
While we are on the topic of sticking things in your drilled rotors, does anyone know if Eric at Bumperplugs has any "Brake Disc Silver" plugs that I can use to cover up all those damn, unsightly holes in the brake discs on my EVOMS SC'd 996? I kinda like the holes in my Boxster's discs, but I want to go with that "clean" look on the 996 and was thinking Bumperplugs in the drill holes would do the trick. Any thoughts from the Board would be much appreciated.
Oh yeah, I'm too lazy to do a Search first, so I thought I'd just post this up and ask you guys.
Yes, because the 996 is a really terrible track car. In fact it's the worst track car in the whole world. And it doesn't have an air-cooled motor so that just makes it much worse.

Rob - As you probably know, for quite a few years Porsche has made it possible to have interior parts painted in the exterior color.
Well, Porsche recently announced a new set of Exclusive options called "Inside Out." You can now get EXTERIOR parts covered with INTERIOR materials. Get your calipers wrapped in leather. They will look much better than a clear bra and you won't have those unsightly lines that are so common on clear bras. I would suggest you also add the Deviated Stitching for the caliper leather. You can even get the bleeder nipples covered in deviant... er, I mean... Deviated leather.

Tim, that is an excellent idea!!! I am going to invent an RMS condom for water cooled P-Cars. I will call it "The Porsche Prophylactic." I am sure to make millions due to Porsche's pi$$ poor design.
Thanks again Tim.
BTW, the patent is already pending so don't even think of stealing it guys.
P.S. If anyone has a better name I may pay for it.
Do you know how?
+1
Yes, kindergarteners all under the age of 6. Had to side swipe a nun driving a vw bug, but it's all good. I was in total control.
In mathematics, root mean square (abbreviated RMS or rms), also known as the quadratic mean, is a statistical measure of the magnitude of a varying quantity. It is especially useful when variates are positive and negative, e.g. waves.
It can be calculated for a series of discrete values or for a continuously varying function. The name comes from the fact that it is the square root of the mean of the squares of the values. It is a power mean with the power p = 2.
Hmmm.... Alligator covered hood and mirrors with baby seal headlight covers.
Baby seal is overrated, I prefer baby panda for the mirrors and hood (matches my car), with the whole interior coverered in ostrich with GT3 seats and goose down stuffing.
Call PETA now because with these new mods available, Im burning this motherfu$#a down!!!
So my ambernextome just didn't satisfy my need for constant change, so tonight I'm thinking about removing my RMS (Raquel, Melissa and Stephanie) and inserting BBK (Brandy, Beth and Kristine). I'll let you know how the mods go over the weekend. Hopefully I'll get the changes made and be able to test them out over the weekend. I'll report back to the board with my findings.
BTW, are there any known issues I might anticipate when changing out the RMS and installing BBK as described above?
Just make sure you throw on that RMS prophylactic that was earlier patented, might want to throw on a BBK, BBS, and SSK hat also, if the weekend goes VERY well! You know what a P car can do!
Did you have the B&C ((Ball & Chain...) option code with the BBK? I'm told,
once you go for the B&C option, de-installing the RMS can be an expensive mod...
- Nick
Luckily, I have the B&C delete kit. The kit is about 2 years old now, and I must say that after having the B&C installed for approx. 10 years, the last 2 without it have been VERY enjoyable and have saved me alot of money.
RIAD:
The SSK could be a problem for the BBK insertion, but I was hoping my ECU (read "brain") might overcome the SSK problem.
If you like cross drilled rotors, this will make your car more better:
cross-drilled brake lines!
Now you will be FASTER and brake better! If cross drilled rotors are cooler, then this will give you MUCH better heat dissipation. Only $69.95 to boot - that's all 4 corners!!

Wow, a search and a few phone calls just revealed that I may need some 2-42 oil to help squeeze in a portion of the BBK kit. The Beth portion of the BBK has given others fits and can get testy when inserted for the first time. I checked over on the Competition Forum and they seem to think that I might have problems with the Beth portion too, but all wished me good luck. One person suggested that I make sure to "bed in" my BBK very carefully.
Anyone know where I can get that oil?
Here's to a good weekend.
"P" word ?????? . . . . . OH . . . . . you mean "Porsche!"
Yeah, I shoulda known. I guess PSE stands for "Porsche Sport Erotica"
DAMN, how did I miss that????
Yeah, so I couldn't get the BBK to "bed in" properly Friday or Saturday night. I tried every which way I could think of, but it just wouldn't work. So, finally, I just became too frustrated and gave up. I ended up trying to relieve my frustration by using the 2-42 oil I bought for other purposes . . . . . . . . . . I went ahead and did the deed . . . . . . . . . . I put all of it into my 996's crankcase and it seems to work pretty well.
Man, I hope I don't start having problems with my SSK after my failed attempt at inserting BBK.
