Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Actually, the RMS was replaced just before I purchased it by the dealer.
Leading evidence: 'Replace actually, the rms' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace actually, the rms' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have been lurking here for more than a year, and now that I finally have a 996, I want to introduce myself.
I recently purchased a 03 C4S with just over 10K miles. Some of the options include: X-51, X73, PSE, and Aero kit. I made the switch from a 03 986 S that I had to sell mostly because I was not driving it enough since my daughter was born. Anyways, I am loving my car and I hope to become a regular member of this board as well as contribute with my experiences.
Attached are some pictures from a small drive I put together to the north GA mountains.

nice find buddy, nice find cuz it looks so damn sexy with the aero
but with miles so low on that engine man... RMS/int shaft beware muhahahahahaahha
make sure you have some sort of warranty is my best advice. i have more faith in the remanufactured engine than the original ones that came with the car.
Actually, the RMS was replaced just before I purchased it by the dealer. According to them it has a 2 year warranty. But it is definitely something to think about... Thanks
Christian....welcome to the funny farm and nice looking ride. It looks like you have a few P-car friends who also enjoy a nice afternoon drive...enjoy it
Welcome, Christian.
A fine-looking C4S...congratulations and enjoy! I'm dying to get my P-car up to the N. GA mountains but, so far, have only been there with my road bike (and boring car). And that's after 4 years, completely lame I know.

Welcome Christian. Beautiful C4S. The aero kit looks great.
Sorry I have to miss the drive this weekend but I will make the next one.
You need to quit hanging out with those Boxster guys. (j/k)
Christian --
I'd love to, but this weekend is unlikely. I will have been away nearly all of this week and will be away all of next week. Bailing on my bride for half of Saturday would probably go over nearly as well as when I told her how much I was spending on my recent round of mods.
Keep me on your list for next time, though. Fall is a great time up there. Hope to see you soon.
