Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Check engine light on today with directions to take to shop,,,,,,,,,,,,oil cap had to be changed and oil pipe into engine....Porsche has upgraded both parts from original issues.......new part numbers......996-107-035-51 and 996-107-150-61 to avoid vacuum leaks....CPO warranty covered, but had to coerce a bit.........fyi.....

POST 2Original post

On the subject.... Anyone DIY this replacement? I always unsnap my filler tube (02 C4 Cab) cause it makes adding oil easier. I'm sure it will lead to an earlier replacement than if I left it stationary. Anyway.... easy or hard? What must come off to access?

Disconnect battery cable. Remove airbox and alternator. Back bolt is a little tough to get out, there is 2 bolts holding the tube in. I reused the O-ring from the old tube.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
