I'm going to try to reattach the Velcro to the frame, let it set for a while, then reattach the fabric.

There's two spots on the inside of the cab top that uses Velcro to keep several seams together that cover up the top mechanism.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There's two spots on the inside of the cab top that uses Velcro to keep several seams together that cover up the top mechanism. Both sides of mine are loose. The Velcro has trouble staying stuck to the tops' frame. See pics. Does anyone have any techniques to repair this or links to same? I'm going to try to reattach the Velcro to the frame, let it set for a while, then reattach the fabric. The dealer tried to reattach it all at the same time (but he didn't charge me for it and I brought it in at the last minute!) Thanks. tom

POST 3Original post

You could save yourself some cash by doing it yourself. All you need is some 3M adhesive remover and some 3M adhesive velcro. Its a little tedious but you can remove the adhesive from the metal arm and then replace the the velcro with the 3m stuff. The 3M adhesive remover wont stain the headliner fabric. With just a few bucks in supplies you can get it back to looking new almost.

POST 6Original post

take it to the trim shop, 100$ is way cheaper then a 1500$ headliner

POST 7Original post
