Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, after a few months of searching, negotiation and planing, I'll be picking up an ocean blue '99 C4 tonight and driving it 500 miles home tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to using it as a daily driver, and think it will be a nice compliment to my 914 weekend car and 944 track car!
(If anyone wants a really nice '98 E320 4-matic, I have one for sale!)
Here's a seller's pic (since I don't want to **** anyone off). Naturally, I'll take more! BTW, those are the snow tires in the pic -- the summers are on sport design wheels.
Thanks for all the good wishes!
It just has a GT3 driver's seat (plus the original driver's seat). It'll be interesting to see how that seat feels for regular road driving... The car also has the x74 suspension... As much as I'm intrigued by these upgrades, I may need to "soften" it up a bit for daily street driving. I have a real track car I race for that fix! But I’m a pretty hardy soul – I don’t need a Cadillac, so maybe the GT3 stuff will be fine.
for regular road driving I find the GT3 more comfortable because it forces me to sit upright with better posture, I tended to slouch in the plush OEM seats. But getting out of the GT3 seat on a daily basis is no picnic. If you're out of shape and have to get out of the car several times a day the contortion move you need to do in order to get out of the seat will get old fast.
If you're going to track it consider some 18" ultra light forged wheels
ccwheel.com
which will take daily abuse allot better than those cast alloys. CCWheel have the best prices I've ever seen on forged wheels basically the same or lower than the overpriced OEM or aftermarket cast alloys. The taco and the GT3 bumper make any 99 look like a $100K car.
I have the same suspension on my '99 C2 and I would personally find it too much to handle as a DD with my 19's. But I know of others that have the X74 on there DD and are fine with it. I guess it really comes down to how far you have to drive daily and what are the roads like on those trips (I consider a DD as a car you drive to and from work M~F).
The car with stock suspension and 19's is not an issue, but have ridden in others with suspension upgrades and can understand why some would avoid DDing. Downtown Phoenix is a nightmare currently and would avoid it with suspension and 19s, but can bear it with 19s on stock suspension.
Michael.s.under, I know what you mean about central. I work at thomas and central, and daily drive my 99 c2...I avoid central at all costs...even with stock suspension and 18's!
I had a great ride home and love the car! I really like the GT3 seat. The X74 suspension is firmer than I expected... I may have to soften that up a bit -- but I love the handling of it.
It seems my two fiercest critics love the car too!
Congrats....you will LOVE it almost as much as the kids will. Mine go nuts when they get to go for rides.
I found that the new Fisherprice seat fits best in the backs....adjustable too. Here's a link:

My 4-year-old loves to climb around my 996. Sometimes I tell myself that I should make sure she doesn't scuff the car all up on the inside, but then I remind myself that it will probably be HER car in a short twelve years or so.
Wonder what will be around to upgrade to THEN?
