Hi all, i am very interested in the MKII mod for our 996 ( I have a 1999 3.4L C4). I have called the local porchse dealership and he has a set of 3.6 muffers off a 997. My question is, will this fit my 996 and are their complications in doing the MKII mod? Thanks!

I am not 100% certain, but I don't think a 997 muffler will fit on a 996. However, I could be wrong. How is that for a really helpful answer!?!?!?

I have a 2003 C4 drop top and I believe I have 997 mufflers on the car. They have the weird accordion looking part.

BY the looks of the piping the 997 mufflers don't look like they will fit. Sure they will mount up and work, but you would have to have the plumbing modified. I would either get a set off a 996 3.6 or get some aftermarket mufflers.

i think that would be great to know... i know that my mufflers are taking a dump soon, so i am also looking for replacements..... ebay has them for a really good price....... can someone confirm this? i know for a fact that the 997 windstop WILL work for the 996........ different parts number but fits the same........ hofefully the muffler will too...... btw i think the 997 cai will also fit the 996 as well.........?
