A couple laps into the second run session, I went to shift between turn 2-3, and the clutch pedal went down to the floor and did not come back up.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was at the track last weekend (Pocono) (2nd track event since replacing the motor over the winter), things were going well. A couple laps into the second run session, I went to shift between turn 2-3, and the clutch pedal went down to the floor and did not come back up. Got a sweet pull back into the garages, I was a bit upset since just about everything between the pedal and the clutch has less that 1,500 miles on it (new slave, new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, all of the fluid is new, etc.) A quick inspection revealed that the pin holding the piston to the pedal fell out. Better yet, the pin was sitting on the floorboard. Took the pin to the hardware store, bought an e-clip, and I was back in business. Total repair cost 34 Cents. That's actually a lie, I bought four of the clips just in case the first three went flying and I couldn't find them during installation, so total parts cost was $1.36, and I know have 3 spare e-clips.

POST 4Original post

Jeebus ... a non-N-spec e-clip? Is that even possible? Seriously, nice to hear about a cheap fix. Great looking car, and would love to see some track pix!
