Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Used to I was able to push the window buttom twice and the window will automatically go up and down. Today it stopped working, another known trick to fix this? TIA

POST 2Original post

After the window is up continue holding the button for 5 seconds or so, then lower the window and hold the button again to reset it.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, went out the car to try the fix and the windows mysterious fixed itself.

POST 5Original post

Was your battery disconnect or drained?? I've had this happen to me several times. However, it only happened after my car lost power from the battery being disconnected or drained. The situation coorected itself before I had a chance to do anything about it.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No lost of power, the only thing I remember was that the window did the infamous roll down 1/4 way when I closed the door, then after that it wouldn't auto roll up or down anymore.

POST 8Original post

mine once in a while i would double click it to go down and for some odd reason, the driver side one would go down 1/4 way, then it would go back up on it's own....... agter a little while, the thing would be okay again....... WTF??????

I can confirm that; I had my battery disconnected yesterday for 1 hour and lost the auto window function as well. However, after parking the car for several hours, it corrected it self again. Happens everytime I disconnect the battery.

POST 10Original post

electrical gremlins at work. My car's had many strange window/electrical gltches that have corrected themselves over the course of a couple days or hours.
