Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Seeing as I only buy used cars, I'm always wondering what will come in to my price range that's any better.
Leading evidence: 'Use cars, i'm always wondering what will come in' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'total of $12gs)' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Use cars, i'm always wondering what will come in' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
No because I would've had to go beyond my comfort zone to add wheels, suspension and sideskirts (probably a total of $12Gs) to the factory aerokitted 997.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This may belong in off-topic, but I'm used to this forum...
Anyway, I have been driving my C4S for about 6 months now. I love every minute of it. The other day some older guy said that my car was his "dream car". I have to admit, I've always wanted a porsche since I was a kid. I'm relatively young and I know that this car is WAY too nice for a person my age. But it seems that there is always that next "dream car"--in about 5 years or so, I hope to have an Italian car.
I have a sneaking suspicion that if I get a Ferrari or Lambo that I'll still want more. When does it end?!?! I know it's human nature to always want more--I don't want my car hobby to spiral out of control. I'm hoping that if I scratch the Italian itch that I'll be satisfied. What do you guys think?
scratch that itch when it comes, your next interest down the road could be planes, boats, motorcycles, travel, cottages or women. So many things, so little time.
It will never end...there's always something faster and sexier.
Be happy with the Porsche...just think of the maintainence money you're saving over the Italians!
After just putting the finishing touches on my C2 last week and spending the weekend at the Historics in Monterey this last weekend.... I too am looking ot he F cars for something new......
F cars everywhere...... my C2 looked like a Camry parked next to the hundred or so 355, 360, 430, etc F cars not to mention the Lambos were a dime a dozen.....
Someday maybe.... But I feel your pain so to speak..
I think I agree with you. I was 28 when I bought my 996, and I'm already wondering what I might be driving in five years. Did I move up the "car chain" too quickly?
I'm still too frightened by the maintenance costs on anything Italian--I'd love someone to prove me wrong, but I don't see it happening. Of course, everyone told me that Porsche maintenance would cost me a lot of money, but so far it's been ridiculously cheap to run.
Seeing as I only buy used cars, I'm always wondering what will come in to my price range that's any better. A 996TT? Sure, but where's it go from there?
I was passing through Heathrow airport last week and they had that "buy a $20 ticket and you could win this car" thing that they do.
On one stand they had a DB9 in silver/green and on another they had an F430 in red.
That F430 is just stunning. I couldn't keep my eyes off it.
Better start checking out the new models of personal jet aircraft so you have something to step up to once you've gone as fast as you want to go on the ground.
I guess I'll have to avoid looking at boats/planes...good thing I know nothing about these subjects.
I've always told myself that eventually I'll buy whatever "entry" Ferrari was out, when I can afford it. Hopefully my wife will stop me after that.
I bought the porsche at 29...I'm now the big three-oh (boooooooo!)
Are they still doing that there? I don't think they will EVER raffle off those cars, just continue to collect the money. They have got to have those paid off my now!
I kinda feel what you are trying to put a finger on.
I'm single, in my late 20s, living a pretty simple/selfish bachelor life and the 911 is fun.
At the end of the day, I'm definitely more of a Ferrari guy than a Porsche guy. The kicker is that I don't care for stock F-cars or P-cars. They always have to be customized to where I want them to be because from the factory, it's a blank canvas. A stock F430 can be passing by me one one side and on the other an aerokitted '00 996 slammed on some nice set of 19" aftermarket wheels... I'm turning my head to the much cheaper 911. I always budget the mod cost into the price of the car. For the money I spent on my '02 C4S, could I have gotten a nicely optioned 997S? Certainly. Did I? No because I would've had to go beyond my comfort zone to add wheels, suspension and sideskirts (probably a total of $12Gs) to the factory aerokitted 997. Yea, I'm crazy about aesthetics. I am vain.
So there's always sexier and faster out there, but I think I'd be pretty content with a 360 Challenge Stradale lowered on BBS LMs.
sounds about right.
the 430 is awfully nice but the 360's looks are classic...hmmm
i guess my life is pretty good if these are the "problems". i'll quit complaining!

Friend of mine gave me some advice, I like it.
If it flys floats or f***s rent it.
Divorce is to expensive......
Just like that last 4th quarter, it's always that late 20's or late 30's when guys go out and fast exotic cars. Got my Benz E-class at 21, Vette at 32, and 996 at 33.
