Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I repaired the leak but had no fluid. The gas station close by only had generic fluid, so I used it and it worked fine.

Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

Suggestion

You would have to un hook the return line from the rack and run the car with the line into a conatiner while adding fresh fluid, being the fluid isnt cheap you will likley want to run 2 qts trhough then let it sit over night till the pentosin sperates from the p/s fluid and sperate them and recycle it a few times

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was on a long driving trip and developed a leak in the power steering connections. I repaired the leak but had no fluid. The gas station close by only had generic fluid, so I used it and it worked fine. I am home now and want to flush that out and replace it with the proper fluid. How do I flush the old fluid completely out?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do I need to worry about any damaged seals etc? Thanks for the info!
