I installed them this weekend, used the existing shims (just unstuck them from the pads using a flat screwdriver) and just sprayed Wurth anti-squeak spray on the back of the pads and put them back in.

I use the HPS and for them they will dust even less after about 1,000 miles so these may get even better.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know from time to time folks are asking about "low dust" brake pads for street use. I've seen good recommendations on the Hawk HPS pads....but I went for the ceramic pads as the tirerack said that they have even less brake dust. I installed them this weekend, used the existing shims (just unstuck them from the pads using a flat screwdriver) and just sprayed Wurth anti-squeak spray on the back of the pads and put them back in. Tied up the sensors and I was good to go. Went thru the recommended break in process. I've driven the car twice and there is hardly any sign of brake dust on the wheels. The dust that is on the wheels is a silver/lighter than stock color so it blends in much better. The bite is as good or better than the stock pads and there is absolutely no squeeking. Just figured I would pass this along for anyone looking at "low dust" pads Now onto the GT3 sway bars......

POST 2Original post

thx for the review... let us know how they hold up after a few thousand miles....
