Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's that time of year again! A number of Rennlisters regularly take part, including
Dave_D
and his wife who won the 110mph class in September,
Ruf-Racer
who has run his Ruf 993, and various 928 folks who are determined to turn their cars into ground-based rockets.
This year's events are on May 20 and September 16. As ever the format is a Time-Speed-Distance rally over a 90 mile stretch of two lane blacktop in Nevada, which is closed for the day. Speeds are limited only by your experience and the level of safety preparation of your car. Check the rules at
www.sscc.us
for details.
I'll be having another go at the 120mph average speed, which allows me up to 140mph on the road. In September we came within 0.08mph of our target, which still put us down in 6th place! For next year, once my pesky CPO warranty is over, I think I'll weld in a little more roll-bar reinforcement that will let me go quite a lot faster...
I hope to see many of you there - the atmosphere is great!
That sounds like a really great time. I wish there was a similiar event closer to the Midwest - Vegas is a LOOONG drive from Chicago!! Anyone want to chip in to hire a group transporter?
The numbers are easy. The small decals from Suncoast Communication take time and Goo-Gone, but they're not a big problem. The first time round I left the decals for a week and they were still quite easy to remove.
Yes,
the rules say it's fine
so long as the camera is securely mounted (just like a DE). I'll be using an
Oregon Scientific S2K
camera attached to my rollbar, but anything solid will do.
Give the guys at the Silver State a call - they've always been very helpful to prospective entrants. Or (shameless plug) see my article on the Silver State homepage

The race is this weekend! I'll be heading up after work tonight - we'll stay in Vegas tonight and then hit Ely NV tomorrow morning. I hope to see some of you there!
