Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I know it may sound silly. I know that the 993 4s is a wide body....and it's obvious. But is the 996 C4S wider than the C2???? No flaming please. Thanks, Jon

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK then. thanks...I think the difference is much easier to see in the 993. Jon

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, Is there any difference in the performance between the two cars? Acceleration, etc. I assume the C2 has the same engine?? C4S has Big Reds? Thanks, Jon

POST 7Original post

C4S is heavier, and driving 4 wheels, with the same engine, thus is slower. It is wider, lower (pretty sure, hope I don't get flamed), and has all wheel grip, thus it handles better. I love the aggressive look of the C4S, but since I rarely see water, never see snow/ice (unless I go looking), I went with the C2.

POST 8Original post

the difference is very evident.....here in the OC...a Porsche is like a Toyota Camry, and yesterday I was sandwhiched between a C4S in the front and a TT in the rear, while a 430 Modena passed us on the right....AHHHH the sound of the Ferrari...when the guy switched gears you could hear the ( don't know the right word) burble....I wish that my Porsche would make that sound!! BUT to get back to the "wide ***" of the C4S.....WOW!!! and those beautiful big tail lights!!

POST 10Original post

Yes, BURBLE...that's it, that's the name of the sound!!!!!!! The sweetest sound I've ever heard in my life, next to RAMS WIN THE SUPERBOWL...RAMS WIN THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!

POST 11Original post

Gant, what about : CARDINALS WIN WORLD SERIES!! Even if you don't care that much about baseball, in St Louis you can't help but get really excited. You know, the actual width difference is about 1 to 1.5 inch (@ 3 or 3.5 cm), but the visual difference is striking. The red reflective bar of the C4S at the rear really makes it a very sexy @$$.....

POST 13Original post

Well, I had already seen us win a Series, back in '82. But, for us to win a Superbowl, in the fashion we did with Warner, Bruce and Faulk was like a dream-come-true. Happiest day of my entire life.

POST 14Original post

The 993 C2 looks wide. However, even a regular 996 C2 has a wider rear than the 993 C2. The C4S is wider still.

POST 15Original post

Don't forget Mike Jones saving the Super Bowl with his tackle, 0.5 second on the clock, at the 0.5 yard line....

POST 16Original post

is nelly furtado's **** wider than nicole richie's?

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Is this double exhaust pipe look just a different pipe? Or is it a different system all together? Sport exhaust?? Thanks, Jon

POST 18Original post

Just a different pipe. It is an option from Porsche that replaces the stock extentions. I have them on my C2.
