Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
Found a really clean 2000 Carrera with only 19k miles and a handful of nice mods (i.e. Gemballa adj susp, exhaust, front splitter, sway bars and a set of 18" BBS LMs). No experience on the Gemballa stuff so not sure how much of a premium that would add to the price. Thanks in advance guys!
Here's some pics....

That thing has extraordinary low mileage!! That could be a good or bad thing, depending on what you are looking to do with the car.
A lot of very tasteful modifications- if those are your cup of tea (they are mine!)
Sharp looking car!!
Sorry I can't help with a $$ value, but I would suggest browsing the completed auctions on ebay and see what they are selling for with that kind of mileage (if you can even find any!!)
I would expect the car to bring a premium over others assuming it is one owner, fully documented, original window sticker, etc. Also if it has the original parts removed for the mods.
If it all checks out it looks like a winner. I do like the mods that have been done. As far as the money goes that all is what its worth to you given what else that you can find etc but after looking last year when I bought I think that its worth at least 35k IMO
Is that an after-market front bumper cause I can't seem to see any seams between lip and bumper. Look around for similar cars (porsche options) and then add a few bucks for after-market stuff. It all depends on how much you want it to be yours.
Good luck
No set price. He wants me to take a look at the car and decide for myself. He's in no rush to sell since his GT3 won't be here until early 08 and I'm in no rush to buy so this may actually favor me. Soooooo, $35k out the door then?
Guy's in FL, travels a lot, elderly gentleman, original owner, mainly a toy, told me its won several best in show...here's a quote....sounds to be a straight up guy.
"I have never driven the car in the rain and it has won every car show or Concours entered including Rennfest Judges Choice and Best in Class at the Hilton Head Concours de Elegance which is an invitation only event."
Very nice and clean car! I think $35k is a fair price (when PPI confirms that there are no issues). However, I'd start offering maybe $32k and see how he reacts. I'm sure he has an offer from his dealer as GT3 trade in for maybe $30k.
If ever a car was worth a slight premium for condition, its this one. If the PPI comes back flawless, which seems likely, someone will pay him 35k for it. Let that someone be you, I can't see how you would regret this purchase.
Beautiful car, low miles, incredibly clean. Underbelly looks like mine!
But then again, mine's an '04. $35K sounds right if PPI checks out - bring a check and see if he'll bite. That's a great car.
That underbelly is certainly clean! Is it just me, or does the engine appear cleaned & repainted?
IMHO, the
cleanest
underbelly title still remains with Orient Express
I paid $39k for my 2000 c2 with 18k miles - and a dirty unberbelly! I over-paid a little, but wanted the car, so WTF.
So, anywhere under $40k would be a good deal on that concours winner!
Thanks for all the great inputs guys! I'll be in FL next month actually (Orlando with the kids) so will take an afternoon off to take a look at the car.
Car dealer gave me 45k for a 2001 cab with 18k miles. If he sells for anything less than 40K with the mods then you are getting a good deal, assuming a passing PPI.
Good luck
Because you are a cheapass................. LM's give me a break, they are about $5k and if you don't appreciate tasteful mods, well then, you are a cheapass. Don't sweat it, I'm a jerk off.
Cabs are worth more.
$35k seems like a good start. 3k miles per year is not uncommon for a Porsche. The value is diminshed by the aftermarket wheels and suspension unless they are including the factory parts as well.
