Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2003 C4S. I ran the gas level down till the warning light came on. Computer showed about 20 miles left to empty. Was late for a meeting today so I only stopped and put in about 4 gallons, but the gauge doesn't reflect the new gas and neither does the computer. Still have the warning light on and still says about 8 miles to empty. I swear there was gas coming out of the pump. It's not something you really think about. I definitely know I paid for it! I'm assuming this is a bad sensor in the tank. Anyone else? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

no its normal the 2nd half of the tank is a calculated value the tank will not read untill it is above a 1/2 tank

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No s@$t? I did not know that. Seems like an odd way of doing it, but whatever. My Rennlist membership just paid for itself 10 x over again. Thanks Brad.

POST 5Original post

Haha, same thing happened to me the other day. Just go fill it up full and it will be fine.
