I took some diehards on a partial run of the June 24th Civil War Trail/Covered Bridge Tour...

To make a long story short, my Nikon D70 suffered "the blinking green LED of death" so I had to use my Nikon N80 film camera.

Hey guys, it was one hell of a great day. And it was cool getting to meet some of you for the first time while not being on a computer. Thanks for the pix... I'm posting the May 20th info tonight... I hope we get as many Porsches to that event... I'm running this one a little different... The Drive is first and those that can't make the drive can attend the Dine & Meet at the Golf Club... Nice private parking lot for all of us so we can stand around and chat without getting run over!

Anyway, it was nice seeing everyone and their cars yesterday. I'm sorry I couldn't make the fun run but I had to meet my folks for lunch. I did stop by briefly at the Deutsch Marque Concours -- I'll post those pics in another thread.
Thank goodness for Porsche meets! If it weren't for the meet I wouldn't have found out that my camera had died. I am leaving for Italy next week and I would've been so pissed if I got all the way to Italy with a busted camera! Anyway, yesterday afternoon I bought a new camera -- a Nikon D200 -- and sent the D70 back to Nikon for repairs. If anybody is interested in buying a factory reconditioned D70 I have one coming in 6-8 weeks (turnaround time for the repairs.)
