Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK - some of you may have read about an unfortunate hit and run incident I was involved in back in Jan. If not, that background isn't critical. What is, is that there was a substantial amount that the body shop and my adjuster agreed on (Over $20K). Work was done, car was picked up, seemed like good work was done. The issue - when I finally went throught he itemized (4 page) list of the work and parts to be replaced, repaired, refinished, there was a substantial amount that was not done. Granted, the pieces estimated to be refinished, weren't damaged - but someone paid to have it done. When I asked if this was common practice - he said it was, because their hourly rate (body work) and that of the insurance companies significantly differ. Apparently, the mechanical hourly rate is OK and as such that componenbt of the esitmate is suppose to be accurate to what was done. My car is at the dealership right now assessing what was done and not done. Will get a call later today with an answer to what they are going to do. What would you do?

Report it to your insurance company. If they don't care, you've done your duty.
