Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ordered a non-smokers tray for my 996 in "granite gray," and the part that came is pretty close to black -- I'd call it more like "charcoal" - is that the true "granite gray" color, or did the vendor slip me a black one? - Nick

POST 2Original post

It's the finish on all 1999 non leather plastic dark gray material. In '00 model years and later, they began to use soft-touch black. What year is your 996? We stock the non smoker, but soft-touch black only and for painted rear center consoles we provide.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ahh, OK, I get it now.. mine is '03, so the black is probably the appropriate part.. my eventual plan is to go with a color-matched console though (Lapiz blue).. - Nick

POST 4Original post

Hey Eric - My car is full black leather. Will your Non Smoker tray be too shiney (I didn't open the box yet)??

POST 5Original post

Andy....most rear center consoles appear to be leather but are NOT even on a full leather interior. Open the box. You can easily tell.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
