Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

38 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 6Original post

Sorry, I was being a smart-*** http://www.city-data.com/city/Califo...nsylvania.html Scroll down the page - I was particularly impressed to see no murders in California.

POST 9Original post

I am in Arcadia near Pasadena about 2 hours drive.

POST 10Original post

LOL What's more impressive is that Amish people live in California...PA, that is.

POST 11Original post

I am in OC - probably an hour each way for me

POST 13Original post

let's get an oc meet going... i know they have one in alhambra.... but let's get one somewhere in the lower oc area...... like hb area

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Still no catch.... anyone close to the area? =(

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Realy no one here that can help me out? I will need to fly across the world if no one helps me out, I pay!

POST 16Original post

if you need to see a car..... find out where's there's a reputable place that does a ppi and have them report to you.....

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No as that doesnt help me to see the car, I need someone to go and take some pictures and testdrive it and let me know, and ofcourse I pay for the gas and time.

POST 18Original post

I'm in San Diego ... Your car is near Palm Springs = ~ 2 hours. I won't be able to make it in the immediate future - sorry The zip code you specified is not in a densely populated area of california, so I'm not sure you'll find anyone here from that area - it'll be great if you could, but don't count on it. Like someone else suggested, you could have the car owner do a PPI and fax it over. Or look for another car in a more populated area so someone here could be of more help.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Its already arranged, thanks to a nice rennlist member!

POST 20Original post

Now who could that be? Has to be in SoCal Be on Rennlist a lot Drive their own 996 currently Be a photographer as well........ Be prepared to drive the Pines to Palms highway, one of THE best Porsche roads in SoCal.... I'll let you know how it goes

POST 24Original post

No problem dude! Congrats on the car. Having to drive the Pines to Palms highway to get there made it a cert I would go. That road is a kick-@$$ Porsche drive - and I got to do the back-to-back hairpins above Palm Desert both going down, and going up. (Top Right) Wooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!

POST 25Original post

Oh, man, you bought arr0gant's former submarine? Seriously, glad you got this worked out!

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

cdodkin: WOW thats an awsome terraine to drive through, we would have forrest instead and not up n down =( gota911: Yeah you could call it a submarine, it has to be able to get over the atlantic =)

POST 27Original post

Did someone say PINES TO PALMS? How 'bout an organized run??

POST 28Original post

NOBY, what is out in Rancho Mirage, I go there from time to time to my vacation home in fact wil beou there this week.

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

gt3_002: Thanks sir, but our dare rennlist member cdodkin already helped me out and the car is now waiting for the trucking company to pick it up

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Yesturday my babe was ready to be picked up at the harbor! Oh man what a nice view it was when I stepped into the warehouse and saw her there =) Now Im waiting for the plates that will arrive in 1 week and then registration! What ya guys thinks?

POST 31Original post

Dude - I recognize that car! Looks like it survived the voyage ok - glad it finally landed! Everything check out ok? Chris.

POST 34 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

cdodkin: Yeah it survived, a bit dust on the rear wing, but I have to hold on untill the car gets plates and insurance b4 I drive it to the "DO IT YOUR SELF" shop where I can clean it up with a high pressure pistol. Beside of that I need a new battery , because the one in the car is giving up, had to load it today. Where can I find a small but good battery over the net in US or Europe? ArneeA, Stealth: Thanx guys!

POST 35Original post

You'll probably be better of buying one locally - it's not a special battery, Bosch and other companies make suitable replacement models. Having one shipped would be expensive and may not even be possible because of the issues of battery acid? Suggest a call to your nearest auto parts store to see what they recommend for you - not surprised the battery didn't last the voyage - make sure you can get into the front trunk ok as with no power the trunk release doesn't work, and you can't get to the battery to replace it! There is a work around - but better not to use that unless you have to.

POST 36 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah propably didnt last the voyage, yes I loaded it so it work a bit now, but you scared me a bit so I will drive over to the garage and pop the hood up so Im safe =) I saw a thread here before about a nice batter replacement was more interested in a battery like that but I guess I check the local market first. Any ide how many Ah the battery should have to be a ultimate battery for the porsche? Btw my alarm worked fine with the remote yesturday but today it doesnt work so I have to use the doorlock to lock the car =/ I guess I will need to buy a new key also 400 USD here .... wieeeeeeeeee What you guys think about the rims I bought, Im not sure now If I will change the ones that are on the car as I pretty much like them. What you think?

POST 37Original post

I would go for the black rims.....look very nice!! I have to admit you have guts....buying a car oversees!! Is it white? or pearl?? Looks very nice! Goodluck.

POST 38 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I may change the wheels, not sure tho... will see, the white wheels are from HP DESIGN, is it a good brand , as I have never heard of it here? Im not sure if its pearl or not. Anyone has a link to the thread about battery replacement where someone also showed a battery in carbon and also some alu parts to hold it, cant find it =/
