I went down with the rebuild for my second gear, which got replaced by a c2 2nd gear/synchro which apparently made the gearbox rattle/clatter which disappeared when clutch was engaged, specialist said its a bearing somewhere but in order to find it will need to change alot!

Hi and apologies if this is the wrong area of the forum to post for wanted items! (newbie) In need of a C4 gearbox/transmission for my C4S - code: G96.31 - has to be 2002-2005 Don't mind picking up! Im located in london/uk Thanks

In theory they are easy but expensive to find because they get orphaned by engines that grenade+ accident salvage. In reality that does not seem to be the case over here. The gearbox is used by kit car builders and similar. It is usually better to repair(also expensive) the one you already have.
