Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I hit his on a parking block today on the way to work. It has crushed and cracked the plastic. What will I need to fix it? The part number that I think it is is this: 996 504 363 00 01C (trim sill cover). However there are a lot of clips and screws also shown in the diagram. Will I need to replace anything else? Or can I resuse the mounting hardware? I'm just glad there is not damage to sheet metal or painted surfaces! Andy

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

upon further examination it looks like the part I circled in the drawing is not correct. on the 2002 Carrera (2) it seems like the trim piece is just in the rear and does not run the length of the door. Does anyone know what this piece is or it's part number? Thanks.

POST 3Original post

I had to replace mine...it was about $35 from the dealer. I don't recall the name of the part. You can point it out on another car at the dealer or bring your picture. You will be able to reuse your hardware.

POST 4Original post

It looks like the "Wheel Arch Trim" part. You can get it from Suncoast for $45. If you don't have an aerokit or any other aftermarket sideskirt, then this is your part: "Wheel Arch Trim"

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks everyone. I had a local dealer find it for me. Cost me $54, and that was the cheaper dealer, another wanted $85! I hope to get it on the car tonight and forget about my stupid error. FYI the part number is 996 504 393 01 drivers side 996 504 394 01 passenger 01C color code (satin black).

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How is it attached? Bolt? Screw? Torx head? Thanks AA
