Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace year' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace year' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

CA$42k which is about US$29,500 equivalent after taxes/duty/etc to bring one up...5 star carrera wheels, black on black, don't have option codes. Just says "fully loaded" which means nothing. It's an american car which means it's cheaper than normal as well since american cars tend to have much poorer resale value.
I haven't asked for the option codes on it since the mileage scares me...but I've been primarily in 99-01 land where it seems very rare to find one above 100k.
not cheap enough. I just did a search for 99 to 02in auto trader under $30k and came up with over 100 cars.
Just my .02 though. You can get a decent mile 99 for that price.

The only thng that may skew my search is im not sure what year the 3.6 came back (was it 02 or 03?)
In theory, you could buy it for $29k, and buy a new (rebuilt) motor for $12k, and for $41k, have an '02 with a new motor.
That said, I think aside from the motor, cars with high miles tend to show it on the interior - seats, buttons, switches, etc, all feel more worn than on a lower mile car. That alone would be enough for me to keep looking!
There was one that sounded JUST like that for price, mileage, and description, from Daewoo Richmond when I was searching about a month ago. When I called DR it had already sold. If it is the same car:
- and Daewoo is selling it, I'd ask what happened to the last buyer.
- and someone else is selling it, I'd be very concerned... why are they flipping it in one month?
Lerxst: same car, apparently it hasn't sold. They sold an 02 arena red cab (or some red, not guards) for $45k this weekend that had 55k miles on it. Sold it first day on lot apparently..argh...was a NICE looking car. They say they buy cars at Porsche lease return auctions and bring them up.
Andy: good point on general wear and tear
