Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looking to replace my Bridgestone S02-A 17" tires ... they have been excellent in every regard but I want to try something different this time...
I'm running 17" rims and wanted to know which is the better tire between the Rosso and the Pilot Sport Rib.... PS2 do not come in 17" sizes....
opinions from those that have used them are appreciated....

No experience with the Rossos but my P Zeros at 50% are harsh, noisy, and follow all the grooves in the road. I have heard good things about Avons and may try them. I liked my previous tires a lot, Dunlop 9000s.
My Boxster was delivered with 17" P-Zeros. They P-Zeros had excellent grip on dry roads, not so much in the wet. Like Nick49, mine got noisy and harsh at 50 percent wear, too.
I switched to S02A's on the Boxster and was very pleased. They stayed relatively quiet down to the wear bars. They have good grip in the dry and aren't as bad as the Pirelli's in the wet. I particularly like the progressive breakaway characteristics. I have S02A's on the C4S and still like them. Never driven on Pilot's, so I can comment on them.
I switched away from the P-Zero to the Yokohama Advan Neovas, though in the 18" size, and they've been a vast improvement. Much smoother and better grip by far.
I used P-Zeros exclusively on my 2001. My 2004 came from the factory with PS2's and at first I wasn't a big fan but after using them for 3 years I definitely prefer them over the P-Z's.
I'm going with yet another set of S02-A.... had two sets and they have been phenomenal.... down to the wear bars and they are "good to the last drop".... stick in cold weather is also remarkable... just talked to a dealer who told me the S02-A are better than the toyo T1-R.... pzero... nice tire but too many inconsistent review for my taste...
