Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
So far my RMS has only been related to filling the oil level to the full line, will not leak if I keep the level at 50% mark.

Of course do the routine maintenance and change the oil regularly and blah blah blah, and it should run like a champ for years to come.

Well, I kept my 993 but uses my 996 as my everyday driver.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

well after 2 years in my 97 911 i have given up on it..i love it but in north carolina, its too damn hot..please tell me your a/c is better...i have owned a 99 base boxster and a 2000 boxster s, so the 996 will be fine..its a 99 with 87k miles..it just had a major service, new tires and a new transmission..it was updated to a 2001..its has never had a rms issue..i was a bit nervous about engine failure, but am willing to take a chance....what do ya think...arctic silver/grey...the biggest problem for me is arctic silver, cause my boxsters were both as..oh well..i am still happy..j
It should be fine with those miles. Of course do the routine maintenance and change the oil regularly and blah blah blah, and it should run like a champ for years to come. I have 103,000 and don't burn any oil and it runs surprisingly tight and strong. I still can always count on it to not let me down and I drive it every day- multiple times a day- fast.
Well, I kept my 993 but uses my 996 as my everyday driver. The A/C works so well I have to crack open the window so I don't freeze to death. The gas mileage is better than a 993, I get consistent 22 Higyway/city. Much easier to drive than the 993, a no brainer. Especially getting into the car at 4:30am in the morning, just switch on the auto pilot and it will take you there.
I too worried about the engine blow up problem, and even the fact that I need COOLANT! Like you I also told myself to take a chance. So far my RMS has only been related to filling the oil level to the full line, will not leak if I keep the level at 50% mark. The 996 is 200% easier to work on than the 993, much more Toyota like in upkeep and repair.
Oh, rear tires lasts much longer too!!! Much better than the 7000 mile life on the 993.
But, still I wouldn't sell my 993. Just the certain quirkiness of the car that makes it hard for me to give her up.
well ruck what do you suggest..its in the 90s and i am hot as hell..i dont want 2 cars for myself..i cant see putting extra money into a 20 year old car to get the a/c better..its a win/lose situation..i can always buy another an old 911..it will be hot here in nc for the next 6 months..j
the car will be in my driveway in the morning...i must admit that i am sad that i am getting rid of the 3.2..but happy to be getting a more modern car..i have always owned modern cars. it was fun for 2 years owning an old 911 but i am ready for real a/c and the extra power will be great...see ya,j
