Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

No racing allowed, no garage queen allowed, must be driven every day, can't quit your job, must be used for commuting, must keep RPMs under 3K, -- its the law.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T190023Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

...and it's been under my nose all along. See attached service record from Miramar Porsche (now Porsche San Diego): Looks like I have a '99 C4S 997. Suck it...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, I think I have the same VIN as John Ireland. Weird.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The rest of the text, unfortunately, is what the dealership actually printed out. I'm not sure how it could be that many flavors of wrong, given the car was originally delivered at Hoehn Porsche (about 30 miles north) and has been serviced by previous owners at BOTH dealerships prior to my purchase. I think the production date and the in-service date are the only two factoids that were mostly correct. Well, that and the license plate.

POST 5Original post

I blame the owner. Taking a 996 to a stealership? In Manila Mesa? tsk, tsk,

POST 6Original post

^but why^? I hear they have a really hot barista...

POST 7Original post

Self important. Smug. Aloof. I always new you were a waiter.

POST 8Original post

Remember the "DD" next to the delivery date means this car was produced to be a daily driver. No racing allowed, no garage queen allowed, must be driven every day, can't quit your job, must be used for commuting, must keep RPMs under 3K, -- its the law.

You are JI's sock puppet.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I promised him $62.50 in exchange for programming both new key heads. I was stunned that they agreed to program my "rebuilt" fobs (I put my keys in the new key heads along with my RFID pills) and did not insist that I buy them from the parts counter. I was even stunned-er when he quoted me for a half-hour of labor. And stunner-er- er when I only wound up PAYING for a half-hour of labor.

You are JI's love sock. If you've wondered why you sometimes smell like powdered milk and Ben Gay...
