Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So, as I continue driving, little splashes of left-over washer fluid keep hitting the windshield, forcing me to use the wipers again, and again, to clear the windshield.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

When I use the washer and wipers, I spray the windshield, and the wipers do their thing, then come to a stop. But, (and here is the problem) that little plastic vent cover has what looks to be a mini swiming pool carved into it that holds water. So, as I continue driving, little splashes of left-over washer fluid keep hitting the windshield, forcing me to use the wipers again, and again, to clear the windshield.
I was thinking of drilling a small hole in the plastic vent cover, to act as a drain. Would this make any sense? Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm at work, didn't take a picture, but you know the area I'm talking about - it's the black plastic vent cover, right under the driver's wiper. There's an indent that traps water (not by design, I hope).
Sorry Andy, I'm at a total loss. I can't recall if this behavior occurs on my car or not. Of course, now that you've made me aware of it, and if it does, it'll drive me crazy also. I'll look when I get my car back from service (just dropped it off this morning).
I noticed it after using the washer while pulling into my driveway. When I got out, the pool of water in this plastic thing caught my eye.
Use the windshield washer, get out of the car, and see if you have a pool of washer fluid sitting there!
I very seldom use the washer, or even my wipers. (I drive by RainX)
The washer splatters dirty water all over the car beyond the windshield.
Clean your windshield before or after your drive, it's cleaner that way, and you solve the problem.
My washer are driven me crazy too. It seems like the sprayer never works right. Sometimes it sprays and other times it sprays in random directions. It as if I need to redirect the aim point every other day. What is up with that?
You probably have salt or sand in one of the holes of the sprayer? Take a pin, and probe around the outside of the sprayer, see if you can tell if there is something in the way.
Yeah, this does sound like a Urologist talking!
Reminds me of a story about a guy I once knew. The doctor said, Well, you can have cure or you can take a test to be sure. He took the test . What a fool on some many different levels.
