Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So I went to the body shop used by my local dealer (D&A in Levittown, PA) and got them to quote and the number was much the same as the 'preferred' shops - insurance company had no issue in me using them and they just sent me a check direct

I think the proper way is to run a poll on rennlist as to which outfit she should wear, then submit the poll results to her!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

35 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It seems that lots of us are having bumps and scrapes at the moment! I stood and watched the woman reverse her minivan into me. I was 15 feet away saying to myself, no, she will stop, she MUST know I'm there. Luckily I think it is just one panel and it was very low speed, so hopefully just a swap out and all is back to normal. Oh, by the way, the woman? That would be my wife......

POST 2Original post

Hate to see that happen. But I envy you cause now you are so up on leverage, that you could 'do anything' and 'get anything' you want - (you know what I mean) . Unless of course you were down one and now you're even. Either way, good luck with the repair. RB

POST 3Original post

carbon fiber fenders...and sexy schoolgirl outfit for teh win!

POST 4Original post

Oh no! That's terrible.... but as others have said, you have lots of leverage points now.

POST 6Original post

Sorry to see that, and glad no one was hurt (at least not physically, emotionally maybe, but not physically). +1 to the schoolgirl uniform!

POST 7Original post

These stories lately have got me shievering in my boots! I have got two Porsche and the old one has a paint job worth about as much as some complete cars. Guess I better not dwell on the idea. +2 on the school-girl outfit. Go buy some candy!

POST 8Original post

People are rising up and revolting against Pcars! Sorry to see that.

POST 10Original post

...it will buff out. Can I have the schoolgirl outfit when you're done.

POST 11Original post

Oh man, your own wife did that? That IS adding insult to injury. Sorry to see that!

POST 13Original post

I'd go for the french maid, not the schoolgirl...lol...it'll be fine..

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I hate to break it to you, but I'm not sure it would suit you........

POST 16Original post

I would write "WIFE" on the fended with an arrow pointing to the dent. It will save a lot of explaining.

POST 17Original post

I say trade her in for a newer and lower milage model. The wife that is.

POST 18Original post

Ouch that hurts... plus, we already have one. http://shop.trashy.com/index.php?s=b...lection_id=204

POST 19Original post

Oh that must have been painful to watch your own wife do that. I bet she felt horrible. I say a cheerleader outfit. I think the proper way is to run a poll on rennlist as to which outfit she should wear, then submit the poll results to her!

POST 21Original post

I'm partial to the "Naughty Nurse" outfit myself. Though for that dent, you should get a different one each weekend for at least a month

POST 22Original post

Ouch, I'm sorry to see that. I'm afraid to take my P-car out of winter storage!!! Oh, btw, I had my wife drive my brand new Yukon into the garage door! Ahh, wedded bliss.

POST 23Original post

Be glad that all she did was crunch the fender................

POST 24Original post

Id go with the schoolgirl. And get a photo of her on the good side of your car. For what she did to your mistress!

POST 25Original post

Will insurance cover the damage? If yes, I may have to rear end my wife's Jeep for a free paint job

POST 26Original post

pfftt...jake, do it the american way..give some gringo 50 bucks to smash in ur fender

POST 27Original post

My vote is for the schoolgirl outfit. Post pics. Oh yeah, bummer about the ding.

POST 28Original post

Sorry to see this! It always hurts to see something happening to a P car. Good luck with the schoolgirl outfit. My wife would just say: "See what happens without part distance control! You should have upgraded my car with PDC and skipped your new exhaust for the 911 instead."

POST 29Original post

French maid outfit +1 Schoolgirl outfit +1 Hey ... alternative weekends !!

POST 31 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, to close the story off...... The insurance company made me get estimates from their 'preferred list' shops but I really didn't like any of them (especially the KIA dealer they wanted me to use ). So I went to the body shop used by my local dealer (D&A in Levittown, PA) and got them to quote and the number was much the same as the 'preferred' shops - insurance company had no issue in me using them and they just sent me a check direct Job took a week. New fender was $450 and new washer bottle and sensor was $80. The rest was paint and labor - total cost $2,000. Clear bra is another $750 on top of that but I am having them refit that again as the first attempt is not good. Car looks great, I can't tell it ever happened

POST 33Original post

That's great about the car, but what outfit did you make your wife wear for all your hardship? Nurse, school girl or French maid?... inquiring minds want to know.

POST 34Original post

i still vote for French maid, with cheese.........

POST 35Original post

So you waxed it out and used the insurance money to buy new wheels and tires? Looks nice. Stefan
