This is not a probability of success.

I did use a tester to make sure that I had power to the appropriate fuse which I do, it is therefore likely the switch.

If you can't do that, it's probably time to replace the switch.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I drove my car the other night and had no instrument lights. All of the fuses are okay. Has anyone else had this problem. I am still under warranty, but wanted some input before heading to the dealer. Thanks for any help.

POST 2Original post

It happens. I was told the light switch assembly needs to be replaced. I can get the instrument lights to go on with some fiddling (turning on and off, twisting back and forth), and also eventually they come on. If you can't do that, it's probably time to replace the switch. Especially if you're under warranty. Piccia

POST 3Original post

Piccia Mine was broken off by PO. Are you saying the switch is replacable. I was under the impression that the whole instrument panel needs to be replaced. Do you have a part # for just the switch ??

POST 4Original post

He is talking about the main (headlight) switch not the cluster *****. Cluster **** info is here

POST 5Original post

THX I will call local dealers and see if they have any of these "spare" parts.

POST 7Original post

I lost the middle part of the cluster once. I jiggled the wires up there with my hand (from under the dash) and it came back on. Haven't had another problem since... -td

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the input. It goes to the dealer tomorrow. I did use a tester to make sure that I had power to the appropriate fuse which I do, it is therefore likely the switch.
