Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good morning. I did a search and read everything and still have a question. I do not have a CD changer. Here it goes: I am bringing my car to dealer Friday for 15K sewrvice and wanted the radio to get programmed to acept Ipod interface (NAV/TV model). I do NOT have the navigation option. Can I drive the car to the electronics installer from the dealer or will the radio revert back to previous mode since no other equiptment will have been added at that point?????????????? Do I need to get the interface installed first then go to dealer? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

POST 2Original post

There may be more than one option, but the MOST system will not recognize the iPod without some interface (like Dension Gateway 500). I asssume this is the interface you speak of? You are actually going to have the dealer program the MOST system to recognize the CD changer. This can be done before or after the Dension install (although if you do it before you will be able to test the iPod). Once it is programmed it will not revert.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My dealer thinks that if the radio is programmed without anything new attached to it, it will shut down or revert to it's former state? How exactly did you do yours? I am using a device called NAV/TV. it is supposed to be the best. Steve

OK, Eric at Bumperplugs saves the day. The Dension unit is in and I am at the dealer getting ready to program the radio! The sponsors on this sight are awesome! Thanks Eric, Steve
