Hi, Just some advise please. I've been advised by my garage that my OSF & OSR and centre brake lines are corroded and need replacing. It's apparently steering rack/front subframe out to replace the front lines and engine/gearbox out to replace the rear. They're talking 15-20 hours for the work plus parts which are minimal. My question is would you go for the replacement and try and keep it original or would you try and see if you can get the lines re-routed to keep the cost down ? It would probably be about 75% cheaper for the rerouting option !!

I have tried another garage and they say the same, 4-5 hours for the front and 10-15 for the in and out of the engine and box to replace the pipes. I did try an OPC but they wanted to charge me just to look at it and their hourly rates are double.

You must be talking about something else not brake related.

I'm definately talking about the hard brake pipes. They go over the engine at the back to each wheel and above the steering rack at the front to each wheel. And down the left side under the car front to back.
