guys anyone had this problem before... my is a 2001 C4.. recently it happen couple times . gear is switching normally when it get to 4th gear the light beside 4 start to flash instead of just light up and stay there.. it flash and flash .. doenst seem to want to swtich to 5th gear like it normally would... the flash might go away after I decrese speed then it will work normally again has this happen to anyone ? what can be wrong ..

Yep something is up with your transmission. Need to get to a dealer or at least someone with a PST2 to check it out.

guys took it into dealer the code has something to do with transmission temputure... the dealer says its not a immediate need fix issue.... usually it happen after i take the car out for a nice little run .., drive it in Manaul mode for a while.. then it will start to flash at 4th gear.... i will pop it back into D... then both D and 4 will flash?? weired..... no one with TIP ever had this issue??

I have a 99 tip no issues so far with 54k and I put 10k myself in 8 months of hard driving.. 95% in manual mode.

I don't have amanual in front of me, but I thought this was the indication that something was wrong with the transmission and that is the limp home mode. I'd get the exact fault code and do some research yourself rather than trusting someone that tells you "it's nothing".

go to another dealer for a second opinion, the tranny unit cost is something like $10,000 plus install, not to be taken lightly.
