Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just bought a 2002 996 and have a list of the original option codes, and I wonder if someone can fill me in...

Anyhoo - I'll go to Renntech and run these codes, thanks for the link, and I'll post a meelyoon pictures once the car is in my possesion.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Before you get to crazy here, let me explain the car is not yet in my possesion in Canada - my *parents* are picking it up for me in Illinois, and driving it to washington state, and I will be taking actual possesion of it on or about April 16. I wll post way too many pictures when I actually get it, there's a teaser attached but since I haven't actually seen the car and didn't take the picture, I won't count this as my official post.
I'm just die-ing (how the hell the spell that word anyway) to find out if I have LSD or any significant performance options - I do know it has *no* PSM, and it has a carbon kit (ie carbon fibre). Seems to me whoever ordered the car had something in mind, and it wasn't boulevarding. Here's the codes - there's a whole bunch of them, and by all means if there's somewhere I could go to figure this out myself, please point me there.

renntech has an options codes lookup doo-hickie. LSD is 220, and wasn't it only available on '99s? That must be the FULL list, I just looked a bunch up and they were stock stuff ie. center console, mechanical seat, ready for radio, etc.
Weren't you saying a few days ago you were back to getting a '99?
Did you fly out and drive it before you bought it?
It does look nice, I can not wait to actually drive it. Yes 450knot - I'm over on pelican as well. You were in fact influential in my making the decision to jump to the 996. You and I threaded on it last year.
My 911 is close to being sold. I don't want to sell it, but unlike you I can't justify 2 porsches, in fact a large part of this move is because I simply don't have the time to tinker with the old car anymoe. In ten years or so, after the kids are a little more established. I'll be back in an air cooled car again.
I stretched to the 2002 because it was a good deal. I could have saved a few $ on a nice 1999, but it would have taken an enormous amount of time to find just the right car at the right price. As it was most of the 1999 - 2001 cars out there were as much as or more than the $ I paid for this 2002. It has some CPO left as well. I bought it in Indiana, I did *not* go out and see it first. I did have a PPI done at a local Porsche dealer, and the service mgr there said it was a realy nice car, no smells or scratches. It needed an ignition switch/steering wheel locking mechanism, but guess what...CPO covered it!

too bad am a newbie or I would have to say: "that's all the pics we get?" but I can't say that, I'll leave that to the big guns... which by the way are going to show up soon... so be ready!
ha ha ha
Great car and congrats!
Val
Is a beauty Jasper. Can't wait till it's here, the fun will start, getting them on the scales will be interesting. Will for sure have to take some pics of the two "beast's" together.
Now I'm a little green knowing the money you saved bringing it up and over the 49th.
Another pic of mine......
